Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Lead Accountant with maintaining accounting principles to prepare financial reports, financial statements, analysis of financial data, and ensuring financial compliance. The Staff Accountant will execute a variety of financial tasks, including assistance with month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and expense reporting compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Lead Accountant with full-cycle accounting including assigned tasks to complete:
Monthly and annual financial close timely and accurately
Ensure administration fees, team fees, and credit card fees are accurately applied and collected from staff ministry accounts
Ensure staff ministry accounts are accurately closed monthly and communicated to ministry team leaders and staff members timely
Prepare general journal entries and accrue expenses
Accounts payable and ensure vendors are paid timely
Review monthly staff expense reimbursements for compliance
Prepare and import expense reimbursement journal entries
Monthly reconciliation and recording of corporate credit card charges
Annual audit process
Annual 1099 process
Administration of the company admin email to respond to employee inquiries
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate degree in accounting (or experience), preferred
Experience working in accounting, a plus
Ministry/nonprofit experience, a plus

Additional Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
Experience with QuickBooks Online, a plus
