About this position:

ACT (Advocates for Community Transformation), is a new model of ministry based in Dallas who uses the justice system to empower inner-city residents to fight crime on their streets while sharing with them the hope of the gospel. Our vision is to see safe neighborhoods, where crime is no longer tolerated and dignity and hope are restored. ACT, a dynamic and growing justice ministry, seeks an individual with fluency in Spanish who can bring a disciplined presence and passionate enthusiasm for ACT’s mission and vision. The candidate must be a servant-leader who exhibits a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a passion for social justice, and the leadership ability to effectively shepherd others. ACT Community Advocates educate, empower, and mobilize inner-city residents to fight crime in their communities. The role requires a strong sense of justice as well as a tactical, investigative, bold, and tenacious character necessary to inspire and organize residents. ACT Community Advocates are highly relational and possess a keen ability to engage individuals in high crime urban neighborhoods with a compassionate spirit and a strong level of discernment. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing this broad skill set across a wide range of relationships, cultures and environments. Education and Experience: College degree required with 3 – 5 years work experience. Preferred experience includes time spent in a Christian-based nonprofit performing cross-cultural work and/or direct sales experience that can easily translate into inner-city, relational work. Compensation: Full-time position. Paid benefits include health insurance and wellness plan. Salary commensurate with experience.
